These prices fluctuate daily, depending on what investors think the price of oil will be in the future. When traders think oil will be high, they bid it up even higher. This will soon cause high gas prices, as we are experiencing today.  Now keep these factors in mind, throw in the declining dollar, along with the summer driving season, as well as the increased flow of investment money and we will arrive at today’s high gas prices.

Now, let’s discuss some ways we can take you can relieve yourself from this high price fill-up.  Many firms such as Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. have launched a reward program called “fuelperks!.”  This program allows consumer to make purchases at their local store with the assistance of the prescribed rewards card.  When you spend $50 – $200 you will receive between 5 – 20 cents off per gallon of gas.  This is a great way to cut back on those demanding gas prices.  Additionally, we have many hybrid cars that are eco-friendly that use minimum to no gas at all.  Also, you can make small alterations to your vehicle such as using nitrogen instead of air to fill your tires.  Consider these options as you attempt to survive the summer months with high gas prices.
