Jim Krueger was named Regal Marine’s Midwest regional sales manager.
Krueger started his career in 1971 at Cruisers Inc., working in engineering as a draftsman. He has worked for several of the top boatbuilders in North America, spending the last 15 years at Luhrs Group and serving in many disciplines.
Krueger was part of the team that is credited for moving the Mainship brand at Luhrs from building cruiser-style boats back to its heritage of constructing traditional lobster boats and trawlers. Following this strategy Mainship grew to be the largest builder of trawler-style boats (by unit) in the world.
“We are exceptionally pleased that Jim is now going to be the regional sales manager in this very important territory,” vice president of sales and marketing Duffy Stenger said in a statement. “We consider the Midwest to be a strategic region as we continue to grow our brand.”
Krueger will have an office at Regal’s world headquarters in Orlando, Fla. However, he will spend much of his time in his region assisting dealers and developing new relationships with them.
Regal Marine is a leader in the design and construction of luxury performance boats from 19 feet to 52 feet.

Canada’s Pelican International announced an expansion of its team.
Joel McBride is the latest addition to the company’s U.S. sales team and will serve as the new regional manager for the West Coast and Gulf Coast. He brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and sales management in the paddle-sports business to his new position. His main focus will be on the growth and development of both the Pelican and the recently launched Elie brand.
Louise Meilleur was named to the newly created position of manager, strategic sourcing. In her new role, Meilleur will be responsible for supporting Pelican’s growth by developing sourcing strategies in Asia and North America. She also will negotiate major contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
During her career, Meilleur has worked in a range of industries and has acquired an in-depth understanding of the retail and wholesale markets, as well as manufacturing, distribution, and research and development.
Claude Simon Dansereau was appointed regional manager, international sales. Dansereau has been with Pelican for more than five years and his experience will enable him to support and grow the company’s overseas business.
